I write middle-grade books, short stories, poetry, and novels for adults. I love exploring themes of isolation and the healing powers of nature.

I am currently writing a humorous and heartwarming middle-grade adventure series about wildlife and human life colliding. The first book is tentatively called Boris and the Fair Glen.
This hand-drawn map depicts the world of the series.

Next on my slate is completing my eco-/survival series set within a fantasy frame. In Mack and Rosie (working title), a 12-year-old girl moves with her family and talking hamster to an uninhabited island.
Pictured is the cabin where we used to vacation and that inspired the series.

I look forward to revisiting and rewriting this fantasy novel. The story is inspired by my grandmother discovering jewels in a secret compartment of an antique piece of furniture in 1940. In The Fairy Apprentice, a young girl discovers she possesses her grandmother’s special powers.
The map is based on a fantastical version of my childhood Oklahoma neighborhood.
